I’ve just started cycling in the city and have been taking the Queens Quay waterfront trail most of the way to work, don’t feel confident enough to ride on the streets just yet. Finding that the majority of cyclists using the trail don’t obey the lights, stop signs, or the warning signs to get off your bike when you connect with a pedestrian path. So many close calls of cyclists speeding through and almost hitting a pedestrian. It’s not just cars that need to pay extra attention when sharing the roads but cyclists need to also follow the rules before someone gets hurt.
