Cycling in Toronto seems to get more and more dangerous. Too few bike lanes. Drivers and pedestrians don’t pay attention. Endless amounts of construction. I’m seriously considering giving up cycling in the city. Is the risk really worth it? I’ve had my fair share of close calls, but I’m not willing to break a limb or get killed. We need drivers and cyclists to get along on the roads, respect each other, and the city should make more initiatives for bike-friendly paths like the one along Lakeshore.
